Karachi 22 January 2017 -Whoever said Christmas excites kids more than anything in the year has never been to Karachi Eat. Over the last few years, Karachi Eat has become more like a celebration within Karachi rather being called a yearly food event. Going to Karachi Eat has become a tradition not only for young generation but for minions of this generation. Karachi eat have surely welcomed those foodies who can’t resist when it comes to food, especially Karachi kids!
Unfortunately, previous festivals didn’t focus on Kids food and ambiance, there were limited food items for them, nothing to serve as a specialty but this time Karachi Eat 2017 has actually broke this stereotype and invited the kids of this generation wholeheartedly with some amazing food stalls out there for them.
The biggest contributor to kids’ happiness was the very delicious bakery “Pie in the Sky” which did an amazing job by letting kids be their own bakers by making their own customize cupcakes. They were located in the kids’ corner and had crazy long line of all ages of kids; in fact parents were ready to stand with strollers just to get their kids those delicious looking cupcakes. A little girl holding two cupcakes of her own said,” I love cupcakes! It’s so much fun to make our own cupcake, this is my second time.”
Not only Pie in the Sky, there were other food stalls like Vintage which served mouth-watering curly fries, Kit Kat and Belgian chocolate shakes. They were located right beside the kid’s area so that they can enjoy their food while playing. Another new and unusual thing for Kids was Rafhan Jell-O shots by Rafhan jelly, clearly a very unique way of serving, because whenever the word ‘shots’ is heard the only thing that comes in to mind is the coffee shots or pan shots which can only be availed by adults or teenagers. But this time Rafhan came up with Jell-O shots for kids and the kids actually loved them.
Despite of the freezing weather ice cream distribution was on its peak, stalls like Nora’s sweet tooth which came up with the idea of fried ice-cream. Where as another ice-cream stall which served with the idea of dessert that includes ice-creams, chocolates, jellies and many other toppings, which was none other than Wall’s dessert truck and it made children go crazy not only them even their parents were excited to see their kids having fun eating; one of the parent made a comment, “My kid is loving the ice cream in this chilled weather! I could see he can spend all of his day eating here.”
Ice creams were a lime light for kids of Karachi Eat and in fact for teens too, there were many other brands offering it like LALS, Dip Shop, paddle pop, omore and small stalls. Undoubtedly, this year Karachi eat made a success to keep Karachi kids happy, someone stated that, “if a person wants to win a heart... offer some amazing food” and that’s exactly what Karachi Eat has been doing it for years and this time especially for the little ones; hope to see that same spirit next year.
